MMV Associates CLG was formed to bring Mau Mau veterans, descendants, families, and allied organizations together under one united national and international platform. For many years, Mau Mau freedom fighters and their families have continued to seek recognition, dignity, welfare support, compensation, restitution, and land justice for the sacrifices and suffering connected to Kenya’s liberation struggle. The organization was created to provide one coordinated voice for this cause. It brings together Mau Mau-related groups, strengthens member registration, supports historical documentation, and promotes structured advocacy for veterans and descendants who were affected by colonial-era abuses, land dispossession, forced labour, torture, and historical marginalization. Today, MMV Associates CLG operates as a disciplined, member-centred movement with a clear structure from the National Office to county, sub-county, and ward levels. With a presence across Kenya’s 47 counties, 290 sub-counties, and 1,450 wards, the organization is able to reach members where they live, verify records, coordinate welfare follow-up, preserve history, and advance the campaign for recognition and justice. Guided by the promise of one movement, one verified member system, one leadership structure, and one national voice, MMV Associates CLG continues to honor Kenya’s freedom fighters while building a stronger platform for dignity, welfare, restitution, history, and justice.
